Cilantro Compound Butter Recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon lime zest
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, chopped cilantro, minced garlic, lime zest, salt, and black pepper.
2. Use a fork or a spatula to thoroughly blend the ingredients together until the cilantro and seasonings are evenly distributed throughout the butter.
3. Place the butter mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap and shape it into a log or another desired shape.
4. Wrap the plastic wrap tightly around the butter, twisting the ends to secure it.
5. Chill the cilantro compound butter in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow it to firm up and for the flavors to meld together.
6. Once the compound butter is chilled and firm, it can be sliced and used as a flavorful topping for grilled meats, vegetables, or bread, or incorporated into cooking to add a burst of cilantro and garlic flavor to your dishes.
